The City of Milton (pop. 6535) is located approximately 40 minutes South of downtown Seattle. With good neighborhoods, beautiful territorial views, quality schools and strong partnerships between citizens, business and City government, Milton gives a much-desired quality of life.
Under the direction of the Mayor, the City Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day oversight, management and leadership of all city departments including performance and the cost effectiveness of city operations and systems. Specific areas of responsibility include the full range of human resource functions including labor relations and negotiation as well as oversight of Activity Center operations, and of community programs and information technology.
The City is seeking a strong leader with excellent communication skills. The preferred candidate will have strong technical skills in budget, finance, human resources, and technology as well as experience defining and building effective working relationships with elected officials, staff and the community. |

| Requirements |
| A bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Political Science, Human Resources, or a related field plus five years progressively responsible experience in municipal government or a combination of education, training and experience which would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. |
