The Executive Director is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the thirteen-member CDA Board. Responsible for strategic planning, marketing, retention, expansion and attraction, and services in support of member and partner businesses. Serves on the City’s Business Development Team. Experience with public role in collaboration with key business leaders and public officials. Results-oriented leader in economic issues affecting the City of Southfield. Background in retention, attraction, redevelopment, entrepreneurial start-ups, and building strong business relationships. |

| Requirements |
| Degree in related field, graduate degree desired and over five years private or public executive experience appropriate to business and economic leadership in a major city setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
